Dr. Pankaj Bharmoria received his BSc. Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Himachal Pradesh University in 2008 and his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Sciences from the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research in 2015. In 2016 P. Bharmoria worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CICECO Aveiro Institute of Materials. From 2016 till 2018 he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Chemistry in Kyushu University, Japan.
Dr. Pankaj Bharmoria is an experimental biophysical chemist who works at the interface of photophysics, chemistry and biology to utilize the potential of proteins as sustainable biomaterials for various applications. P. Bharmoria’s research is focused on the development of novel bio-sustainable triplet-triplet annihilation mediated photon upconversion and photoswitching materials for solar energy harvesting. Currently, dr. P. Bharmoria holds a junior leader-post doctoral position under La-Caixa grant at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB-CSIC).
Dr. Pankaj Bharmoria has a decade of research experience in biopolymers extraction, analysis, processing, formulation and recycling in India, Portugal, and Sweden. He is the winner of Marie Skłodowska-Curie European Commission Post Doc grant and JSPS Post Doc grant.
