Open Readings 2027 will mark the 70th edition of our conference—a special milestone in a long-standing tradition of bringing together students, young researchers and established scientists for an inspiring exchange of ideas.
A conference like this does not happen on its own. We are looking for enthusiastic, responsible and creative people who would like to help shape the event, gain valuable experience and become part of the Open Readings community.
You do not need to have previous organising experience. Whether you enjoy planning, communication, technology, design, science or working with people, there is a place for you on our team.
Find your team
Finance, Inventory and Marketing
Help manage the practical foundations of the conference—from budgeting and sponsorships to supplies, inventory and promotional activities.
Registration and Programme
Coordinate registrations, collect information from participants and help organise the conference schedule so that everything runs smoothly.
IT / Technical Support
Support the conference website, registration systems, presentations, audiovisual equipment and other technical solutions before and during the event.
Academic and Programme
Help shape the scientific content of Open Readings by working with speakers, sessions, abstracts and the overall academic programme.
Communication
Share the conference with the world. Create content, manage social media and help keep participants, speakers and partners informed and engaged.
Design
Bring the visual identity of Open Readings to life through posters, social media graphics, presentations, badges and other creative materials.
Pupils’ Session
Help organise a special programme for school students and create an engaging space where young people can share their interest in science.
Café Scientifique
Help create informal and accessible conversations about science for a wider audience. This team organises engaging discussions and public-facing events.
Participant Support
Be one of the friendly faces of the conference. Help participants with questions, directions and practical matters before and during the event.
