Goda Raibytė-Aleksa is a science journalist, writer, and experienced TV and radio host passionate about making science accessible, inspiring, and engaging for everyone.

Passionate about science education and outreach, Goda has a talent for turning complex scientific ideas into clear, captivating stories that resonate with audiences of all ages. Her work spans event moderation, public speaking, workshop facilitation, media production, and strategic communication. Over the years, she has collaborated with a wide range of organizations, including Vilnius University, Vytautas Magnus University, the Lithuanian Journalism Center, Google Baltics, NanoAvionics, and various Lithuanian ministries—Environment, Energy, and Education, among many others. Goda works as a freelance science communicator and partners with some of the world’s leading research institutions, such as CERN, ESA, SETI, and NASA.

She’s the creator and host of Mokslas skubantiems (“Science for People in a Hurry”), a weekly show on Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT), where she delivers science news and insights in a fresh, dynamic, and digestible way.

Goda is also the author of the book KAS VYKSTA KOSMOSE? (“What’s Going On in the Cosmos?”). Aimed at young readers, the book explores recent astronomical discoveries and showcases the contributions of Lithuanian scientists—all while encouraging kids to tap into their greatest superpower: curiosity.

Seminar description

Participants will be introduced to a personal science communication strategy in this seminar. This includes defining your mission, core topics, target audience, communication channels, key messages, tactical actions, and ways to evaluate impact.

We’ll explore why science communication matters, how to choose the right platforms, what tools can help you reach your audience, how to craft your message, and how to find the right tone of voice.

The session will also cover different storytelling techniques and how they can be effectively applied in science communication.
